TR 61850-90-5 Open Source Project
A protocol for transmitting synchronized power data over wide area networks
TR 61850-90-5 is a protocol for transmitting digital state and time synchronized power measurement over wide area networks enabling implementation of wide area situational awareness (WAMS) as well as wide area measurement and protection and control (WAMPAC) systems based on the 61850 protocols commonly used in substation automation.
This site is dedicated to an open source project that is intended to aid in the protocol’s adoption wihtin the industry.
All source code postings, on this site, are subject to the Apache style license which is found in the 90-5 License document.

- August 7, 2013: Version 1.1 of 90-5 Source code (without GDOI) posted
The base 61850 90-5 source code has been posted. The *.zip for V1.1 is for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
We invite all interested parties to review and comment on documents. Soon we will post a Survey to collect and manage input from reviewers.
